Jack Sweeting has been growing grapes and making wine in greater or lesser degree for the last twenty years or so.
Retirement has allowed this fitting hobby for a Chemical Engineer to flourish and expand. Now self-sufficient in white wine from made from Seyval Blanc grapes (all propagated from just two original plants purchased at the same time from the same grower - and therefore thought to be identical clones - he is concentrating on introducing new white varieties and starting the more difficult task (in the UK) of producing a satisfactory red wine.
Only vines varieties that have been personally tested and proven suitable for the UK are featured on this site.
