Poor me III
OK, maybe not ‘poor me’ any more; I’ve finally feeling much better. I don’t normally take pills and things when I’m ill, but I’ve found that paracetamol has helped wonders.
Anyway, just logged in to mention a blog I’ve just come across: Holizz versus the web. I’ve not had a chance to read much if it, but the design concept is very good! Made me laugh, anyway 
Update: Hmm, Holizz seems to have changed his design. It’s no longer funny

Glad to hear you are feeling a little more human.
Couple of things:
1. The “Contact Us” link on BritBlog is busted.
2. From a previous post I ascertain you auto-allow sites into the directory, how do you stop all the crap from spammers? I’ve had at least 100 spammed entries, but my numbers are a lot lower than yours to handle so I still manually approve all new sites.
3. The “Top of the Blogs” thing - is the chart on the site anywhere?
Come on, come on! What HAVE you been doing?

Yeah, the web host has been having major disc problems over the last few weeks. There server is up and down like a Yo Yo, and lots of stuff is corrupted. I’m not happy. They say their RAID controller is busted, and they don’t have a spare one. Hmmm.
Anyway, the move to a dedicated server should be happening soon, so with luck that will fix things.
Regarding the crap from spammers, I just have to keep an eye on the new signups and delete the crap ones. I’ve have a few hundred to date! I’m hoping to get a couple of helpful people in to help me filter the dodgy signups - this will be really useful when I’m away on holiday…
No Top of the Blogs yet - lots of other stuff has been in the way (like unavailable servers….). Should get some time to look at it at the weekend….

A company called ‘Positive Internet’. My feeling lately hasn’t been so positive, but they are offering to sponsor the site now so that I can just about afford the dedicated hosting costs…. We’ll see how the new machine goes - it can’t be worse than the shared hosting anyway!

Why thank you. I always love to check my referrer logs and find random people talking about me :).
Changed my design? Not in at least a month. I guess I need to go and test it on other browsers and platforms some time soon. Maybe tomorrow. It’s probably something in the CSS not playing too well with browsers.

Yeah, seems to be back again now. V. odd - I tried it in Firefox and IE when the design broke - must have been a CSS thing.
