Slight glitch

Had a slight glitch with the Top of the Blogs thing over the weekend - forgot about the switch to British Summertime, and this confused my processing script a little bit… Just means that the results for Sunday are based on an hour’s worth of traffic rather than 23.

Other than that, had a good weekend down in Hastings visiting Tony of BritBlog design fame. Heard an excellent band in a pub down there on Sunday night called Ko. I have to say I think they were probably the best band I’ve ever heard live, and that’s even after taking into consideration the amount I’d had to drink. A most excellent group: one to watch as they will go far.

Right, got to press on - and my tea will be stewed by now. Arrgghh!

    The 23 hour day has affected the paging too - you skip a day when going backwards!

    Mmm, and another thing. The access log file rotation happens on the first of evey month some time in the early hours of the morning, and as I only parse the current log file for tracker requests we’ll be missing a few hours out of the day again.

    Ah well, everyone is in the same boat…

    You will be able too soon. I’ve got to move the site to a new server, which, although it will make it more expensive to run, will enable me to do a few more things with the site. Watch this space!

    I may be being dumb here but is there a way of seeing the ranking for sites that aren’t in the top or bottom 10?

    Hi grom. No, not yet. I’m moving BritBlog to a new server soon (it’s all paid for, just waiting for it to be set up), and once this has happened there will be much more information available. All participants will be ranked via their blog profile page, and there will be monthly and/or weekly charts showing a longer version of the chart.

    If you have any more ideas, please leave them here, or drop me an email.
