It’s for charity mate*
* to be said in an odd Australian accent
After quite a long day at Internet World yesterday, I went to a fantastic charity comedy night at Jongleurs, arranged by The Mango Tree. The Mango Tree supports over 5,000 Tanzanian orphans who have lost one or both parents, predominantly to AIDS. They focus on long-term development, not just relief, and aim to give the children the education and vocational training needed to build a sustainable and independent future. All good stuff!
This was probably the funniest comedy night I’ve been too (certainly in a long time anyway), and it was kind of Jongleurs and the comedians (Marcus Brigstocke, Andy Zaltzman, Lee Mack and someone else whose name I’ve forgotton at the moment) to donate their time/services for free.
Anyway, we’ve all got to do our bit, so why not donate some nice money to the charity if you’re feeling a bit generous? There is a donate link on their website ![]()
