Recipes by email (for blokes)
Why hasn’t someone invented a recipe service where they email you a (new) recipe each day? Maybe they have. I get so fed up making the same meal every day, and I’m sure I can’t be the only one.
It’s not that I don’t like cooking — I quite enjoy it actually — but I don’t like cooking for one. And making loads of dishes for one little meal seems stupid to me too.
So what I need is some kind of service that can email me a menu each day. The recipes could be graded from simple to complex, and I could gradually start to take on some of the harder ones as my cooking improves. I need a list of ingredients that I can get from a supermarket, and I don’t want to have to spend ages preparing the food. Oh yes, and the meals should be cheap
I could build a profile of the meals I liked the taste of and the meals I found easy to cook, and by comparing these with other members the system could work out other recipes for me (a bit like amazon does with books).
Any takers?
On a different note I had my first beer in ages today. Actually that’s not true. I just remembered I had a really really nice pint of W. J. King Spring Ale in the Kings Arms in Dorking last week (Mmm, now that was tasty!), and a pint of Ale Fresco in The Eagle in Cambridge on Sunday. OK, so I had my first bottle of beer in ages today. It was a bottle of Greene King Strong Suffolk Vintage Ale, and very nice it was too! Must drink more beer! Anyway, someone should build the recipe site - I’m desperate!

I hear what your saying, I really enjoy cooking but the books I have are just too complex sometimes when you’re just after a tasty and filling snack that isn’t beans on toast.
I did a quick grep on google for “Recipe a day“, could be a few things to investigate.
