Technoranki lives!

Well almost. I’ve finished moving everything to do with technoranki over onto a new server (from the old BritBlog server), so once the DNS updates have filtered through this should all be pretty much up and running.

There are still a few bits to do in terms of automation, enabling self-signup, and an API, but these are less pressing I think.

I want to modify the rank calculation algorithm a bit too - it seems a bit over generous in some areas (my blog rank seems way too high, for example).

Technoranki needs to gather at least one week’s worth of traffic data before it can start calculating ranks, and then BritBlog can then start talking to it again so that it can build its Top Blogs chart.

Anyway, this is the first post in a new category just for technoranki, and I’ll be posting any future updates and announcements on the project here.
