		<description>@kt, thanks for the tip. It doesn't solve my particular problem which happens when I run an ncurses application in a terminal window.

I tried the same app in iTerm on someone else's Mac the other day and it worked fine, so it looks like a problem in the built in terminal app in OS X.</description>

i'm not sure about in the shell, but Fn + delete will forward delete if you hadn't figured that out yet.</description>
